"Stellar" by Antari Foster won the WonderFil Specialty Threads Best Miniature Quilt Award at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2026.
Artist Statement: "This quilt is my most technically challenging to date. I challenged myself to improve my skills with foundation paper piecing, reverse appliqué, and tiny turned-edge circles. I also wanted to create a different kind of edging. The compasses were very tricky to make. My first attempt was not accurate. It stretched and didn't lie flat. I had to bin all the pieces and start over! The reverse appliqué placements and accuracy required a lot of thought, but it got there in the end."
